Unlock a Stolen Macbook pro technique #1 :

Factory reset your Apple laptop whether it’s the MacBook Air or the MacBook Pro with this method. I’ll be showing you today how to factory reset it. If you don’t know the password, you could use this method. If you buy the laptop from a third party and they give you a password and that password doesn’t work. You need to use the device, you would factory reset the entire machine. However the disclaimer is, you would lose all the documents, all the files, your pictures and videos essentially. What you’re basically doing is resetting the device as if it were brand new out of the box and you would set everything up again fresh from the start. So, without further delay, let’s go right into the topic. Also on a side note don’t forget to subscribe to Techsaaz for latest tech updates. This Would really help me out a lot in terms of bringing my articles to you guys, who really need the tech support. Instead of paying tons of money and going to the Apple store or going to a repair center, you could do it all from the comfort of your home.

What you would normally do is go to your name and enter your password? It’s not working. You try it again. It’s not working. So, now what you want to do is actually hit the power button so it turns off. Hold it until the screen goes black. Now that’s turned off so what we want to do now again is to turn the laptop on. Once that screen turns on, you hold the command and s button together(Cmd+S). You’ll get this terminal here. So, I’m in that last section right there.

What you want to type is: ‘mount’ then a space and then a ‘dash’ and then  ‘uw’ then a space and then a ’forward slash’ and then you want to hit enter. After that, you type the following as shown below:

Then you can hit enter and type the following command:

**Below you can find the input text I used **

mount -uw /

rm /var/db/.applesetupdone

shutdown /h now

Once you’ve typed all those three sections, basically just hit enter, hit end and turn off the device. Once that goes completely black and it’s turned off, you have to turn it back on by pressing the power button.

Stolen Macbook pro techniquesWe’ve simply just reset the MacBook Air and like I said you could do this on all devices. This is basically the initial setup of your device where you could actually start using it and it’s brand new again. You choose your country, your language and the region you’re in. Do your Apple setup and everything else which you would prefer to do.

Furthermore, Apple distributes new upgrades and features over the air, enabling customers to stay up to date with the newest security features and ensure optimum safety. Macbooks, on the other hand, are not cheap. When you compare them to other laptops on the market, you’ll see that they’re much more expensive, and as a consequence, the Macbook is one of the most often stolen items.

If you are not cautious and leave your Macbook alone, there is a good chance that it may be stolen. For example, if you put your laptop in a bag and then leave the bag unsecured in a public area, it’s quite likely to be stolen. People leaving their computers in their vehicles account for a significant percentage of thefts. What do you think a burglar would do if he or she finds a laptop in the backseat with no one around?

Unfortunately, this is all too true and occurs on a regular basis. Thousands of reports about stolen Macbooks are filed with police stations. The majority of individuals are more worried about the loss of data than the loss of the gadget. Important business papers, assignments, family pictures, and other personal documents may be kept on the hard drive, so it will be tough to retrieve anything if you lose everything. Furthermore, would you really want to allow criminal access to all of your data?

Thankfully, Apple has developed a number of security tools that are intended to assist the ordinary person in tracking their laptop or remotely deleting all of the data so that it cannot be accessed by others. Here’s what you should do if your Macbook is stolen or misplaced.

What To Do If Your Macbook Pro Is Stolen?

The Find My Mac is one of the finest App that Apple has launched in recent years, and it has been significantly improved. The Find My Mac may be used to find your computer as well as all of your Apple devices.

The software may be used on any device or computer; all you have to do is log in with your Apple ID. If you wish, you can even use it from your iPhone. Simply look for the device on your computer, and if it’s open, you’ll be able to view it.

You’ll also receive a number of extra features, such as the ability to mark your computer on a map and remotely lock it. You may even send a personalised message to the screen to let someone know whether the Macbook is a stolen one or not.

This may work in certain instances, and you’ll have your Macbook back. If it was stolen, however, your chances of recovering it through a remote message are little to none.

Using iCloud, clear or wipe a stolen Macbook Pro remotely.

Another possibility is that your Mac will not appear in the Find My Mac at all, which may be due to it being locked or totally offline.

If that’s the case, you should know that you can set up a notification to get a notice whenever your Mac starts up, as well as delete all of your data and lock it remotely if you want. Just make sure you don’t remove the Mac from the Find My app’s list of devices before turning it on, otherwise the instructions won’t go through and the activities won’t be carried out.

If your MacBook Pro has been stolen and you wish to erase it remotely, follow these steps:

  • Go to the iCloud website using a web browser such as Mozilla Firefox, Safari, or Google Chrome.
  • Then, using your Apple ID and password, you connect into your iCloud account.
  • You’ll notice the Find iPhone icon, which you should click.
  • Select All Devices from the drop-down menu at the top of the screen.
  • Then you must choose which Macbook you wish to erase.
  • Then, in the device’s information box, select Erase Mac.
  • To finish, confirm your Apple ID password.

If you proceed with the procedure of erasing your stolen Macbook pro, all of your files and data will be erased once your Mac is online again.

However, if you erased your Mac while it was offline and then found it before reconnecting to the internet, you may cancel the first erase request by following the steps below:

  • Return to the iCloud page and enter your Apple ID and password to log in
  • At the top of your screen, choose All Devices.
  • Choose and click the device you originally wanted to delete from the devices list.
  • Finally, click Stop Erase Request and confirm that you want to cancel the request.
